Hart Voluntary Action would like to invite you to join our Information/Training Day on Monday 17th June at the Lismoyne Hotel in Fleet, which is aimed at anyone who is responsible for managing a Charity /Charitable Incorporated Organisation or who would like to know more about what is involved.
The training session runs from 9.30-3.30 and will be led by Solicitor, Helen Harvie, a charity law specialist with H3 Solicitors.
The programme will cover the following:
- The principles of the Charity Governance Code, as well as an update on safeguarding and the serious incident report regime.
- Generally, the course will focus on duties and responsibilities and liabilities of Trustees.
- The reasons for good governance, the need for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, protection of trustees, transparency and accountability.
It will include workshop sessions and hand-outs.
There is a charge of £35 per person, for which an invoice can be raised if required.
We look forward to welcoming Trustees/Staff/Volunteers from local charities to this event.
